OVERVIEW:
The Ramblers Supply Co. beverage package program for Palatine Estate Winery. — Made for the Wild.
We strategized and conceived Ramblers as the roadside outfitter and refresher at Palatine Hills Estate Winery. A strategy that would allow Palatine to refine its pursuit of fine winemaking while at the same time developing a whimsical irreverent side offering of outdoor life inspired goods and beverages that speaks to the owner’s personal interests.
Ramblers is a place to stop in for a refreshment while gathering supplies before your trip, or a regular weekly drop-in around the camp fire at the corn hole court. It’s a casual retreat just off the beaten path and an approach that intentionally differs from the typical winery formality.
With this campsite and beach cooler tailored beverage line, Palatine can project their reach into opportunities that may not have existed for their more traditional wine offering. For example, over the last couple of years, hundreds of trend sensitive local oriented bottle shops have popped up and are eager to stock more creative and trend oriented offerings like Ramblers that speak to youthful and active audiences.
In addition to the onsite strategy, we proposed that this approach may even break into stiffer retail environments like the LCBO and SAQ that typically lean toward larger producers being that these traditional conservative retailers will eventually feel the squeeze of bottle shops and licensee outlets and yearn for more style forward domestic products. The result was that this high personality line of wines and beverages was a big success at the LCBO with the retail giant listing 5 SKU’s which is a huge home run.
